We lost a dear friend this week... Teddy. He was the sweetest dog you would ever meet. All he wanted to do was love and play. We will miss him dearly!

Flea & Tick Prevention

Flea season is among us and this month seems to be worse than ever before. When shopping for topical flea medication, be sure to buy one that kills fleas as well as ticks. My favorites are Frontline Plus and K9 Advantix. Both should be applied once a month on the same day each month. Be sure not to wash your dog for at least three days after you administer the treatment for best results. If you keep the treatment up to date- your pet should stay happy and flea free!

LAB Turns One

This past Sunday, we (Lewis & Bark) celebrated our one year anniversary at Tails of Santa Monica. What a turnout! I hope that everyone who went had half as much fun as I had. Hope to see you all at our 2 year bash next year!

New Local Business

A great new local business popped up on Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica, CA called The Healthy Spot. I got to speak with the owner of the store and I absolutely love what they are about! Not only do they have great products and services, but they also focus on rescue (which you all know I am passionate about). With every purchase, customers are asked if they want to “round up their purchase to the nearest dollar amount.” All of the proceeds from this are given to animal rescues... great karma! LAB goes to the Beach!

For the select few that we had in our “Doggie B&B”, we went on a field trip to the Huntington Dog Beach! The dogs had the time of their lives chasing tennis balls in the ocean and meeting friends on the beach. For some, it was their first time in the Pacific and OMG... they loved it! I love lazy sundays in the summer!
